Coriander

One of the most nifty herbs we grow. Coriander as a plant has a host of different purposes. The leaves and seeds of the plant are used heavily in both North African and Asian food where its pungent and robust flavours work well to compliment the powerful tastes.

Light citrus notes shadowed by punchy aromatic flavor โ€“ the taste is very unique.

 

GOES WELL WITHโ€ฆ

The big flavours of coriander make it the perfect accompaniment to a Crispy Asian Beef Salad. Simply coat good sliced steak in cornstarch and deep fry to achieve a crispy texture. Add whole leaf spinach, cucumber and sweet thinly sliced red onions to a bowl before tossing in both the beef and a small handful of chopped coriander. Dress liberally with lime and pomegranate juice. Delicious!
