WW2 Tunnel Reunion

Hoping you all managed to have a fab bank holiday weekend despite the rain and disappointing cold turn in the weather!
Richard spent the weekend at a big family reunion where young and old gathered around two amazing fire pits in the garden catching up and exchanging stories. Rather apt to our Growing Underground journey was his uncle Don, pictured above, who remembers staying in the sister tunnel to our North; ‘Clapham South Deep Level Shelters’ just after WW2. This was part of his post war National Service as a young boy as he travelled through the UK on training.
